A forest is found in a 192-meter-deep lake [watch]

Researchers at a cave in the southern Chinese province of Guangxi have discovered a forest at the base of a large pond.

As scientists descend into its depths on May 6, the hole – 306 meters long, 150 meters wide, 192 meters deep and with trees up to 40 meters high – could having species of plants and animals that have not yet been identified.

Could this be the biggest?

As well Xinhua News, Zhang Yuanhai, a senior engineer at the Institute of Karst Geology of China Geological Survey, says that a sinkhole can be described as a large sinkhole. Of the 30 sinkholes in Leye County, this is the largest.

Scientists walked for hours in a sinkhole to try to figure out what was inside. Chen Lixin, who led the procession, said there was a large plant on the ground that went up to his shoulder.

“I would not be surprised to find that there are species in these caves that have not been scientifically defined or defined so far,” Lixin said.

Sinkholes are commonly found in southern China because of their geographical location. The area is home to karst topography, a landscape that is often home to some of the largest waterfalls and caves in the world, said George Veni, president of the National Cave and Karst Research Institute (NCKRI) in the US. Science is alive.

“Due to geographical differences in astronomy, climate, and other factors, the way karst appears on the surface can be very different.

“So in China, you have this unique karst with huge sinkholes and big cave doors and so on. In other parts of the world, you go out on karst and you don’t see anything. “The water can be very good, only a meter or two wide. The modern door may be small, so you have to go inside,” he explained.

A video of the big sinkhole was posted on Twitter, check out below:
