Construction has begun on a new mixed-use building in Cape Town’s CBD, which is set to add to the city’s growing skyline – The Rubik’s.

Located on the corner of Loop and Riebeek streets, the Rubik consists of luxury residential apartments above premium offices and high-end retail space – all housed in a very characteristic modern glass ‘tiered’ building.

The project is being developed by Abland, with co-investors, and is designed by DHK Architects.

Lesley Rensburg, Dogon Group sales agent for The Rubik, said the apartments, penthouses and offices within The Rubik have floor-to-ceiling windows, 24-hour concierge security, state-of-the-art technology, luxury furnishings and finishes . , minimalist elements of elegant stone, glass and wood, and many clean open spaces.

These features – along with the prime location and spectacular views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head and the ocean – provide highly desirable downtown accommodation, with prices starting from R2.18 million for a one-bedroom apartmentranging from the most expensive 249-square-foot penthouse apartment on the 25th floor to R16.35 million, “she said. The single-bed apartments start at 43 square meters.

  • 2 bedroom apartments start at R4,250,000 for 73sqm
  • Penthouse apartments start at R7,650,000 for 113sqm

This was echoed by Leah Sleigh, sales agent for The Rubik, who noticed this sales prices are only set to increase.

“We have a high demand for apartments at The Rubik. Buyers looking for contemporary design and premium architecture are attracted by this exceptional building in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, offering all the benefits of a centrally located mixed-use development combined with luxurious finishes . and spectacular views. ”

“What is worth noting for potentially interested parties is that prices are set to increase from early July, and so now is the ideal time to invest in one of these exceptional units in the heart of the CBD of Cape Town.”

So far the excavation and the foundations are ready and the work on the superstructure is going hard. The Rubik’s are expected to be completed in March 2024.
