Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, UK, plans to publish a children’s book titled “Bench” next month on the relationship between father and son based on her husband Prince Harry and his wife’s child Archie, the publisher said. Said on Tuesday.
This book is the latest venture since Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren Meghan and Harry resigned from their royal duties and moved to Los Angeles with Archie to celebrate their second birthday later this week.
According to the publisher’s Random House Children’s Book, the “bench” by artist Christian Robinson will be published on June 8 and Megan will narrate a version of the audiobook.
“The bench began as a poem written for her husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born. That poem became the story,” the Duchess said in a statement.
“My hope is that the bench, like mine, resonates with all families, regardless of makeup.”
Megan, pregnant with the couple’s second child, is not the first royal family to enter the world of children’s literature
Prince Charles, the successor to the throne, wrote “The Old Man of Rokunagar” based on the story he told his brother. Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has also written a lot of children’s literature.
Megan and Harry have rarely received media attention since they conducted an explosive interview with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey in February.
Harry returned to England for the first time since an interview with his grandfather Prince Phillip for the funeral last month.
