The Bulls made a good effort in their win over Scarlets at Loftus on Friday, which saw a superb combination of defense and forward as Johan Grobbelaar made the shot.

From a scrum in their 22-yard box, Chris Smith used a deft cross to find a well-placed Canan Moodie who charged away.

Full-back Kurt-Lee Arendse ran a good support line and then switched himself to scrumhalf Zak Burger, who kept proceedings going when the ball went wide.

Elrigh Louw then kept himself busy as he charged through midfield, dragging would-be tacklers with him.

His performance was the slow poison that saw Ruan Nortje, Marcell Coetzee and Gerhard Steenekamp all step into the action, with the prop giving Grobbelaar the final pass.

The Bulls won 57-12.
