Cuba’s director of Liberia participated in the 200th anniversary of the founding of the African country

Mercedes L. Martinez Elera, Director of the Cuban Head of Liberia, participated in a national celebration with members of the Cabinet, diplomatic corps and executives of foreign companies to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the West African country.

The event took place on Providence Island, where the founders of today’s Liberia first set foot on their home continent in 1822 after returning from slavery in the United States in the 4th century.

The 200th anniversary of Liberia is an important threshold in the history of the country of Africa, the oldest republic in Africa.

It will be distributed by the APO Group on behalf of the Cuba expatriate office.
