The club have now confirmed the world champions will leave Munster rugby at the end of the season, with the center set to “join a club outside of Europe”.

There were strong links to a stay in Japan, which seems likely, but there was also talk of him returning to South Africa.

The Sharks are known to be looking for an inside center but Rohan Janse van Rensburg is expected to move to Durban. There’s no doubt the Bulls or Lions would welcome a player like De Allende, although any offer would pale in comparison to what he can earn in Japan.

The burly midfielder is of course a former Stormers player and as such there could be interest in returning to Cape Town, where he was born and raised.

Speaking to Irish media on Tuesday, De Allende said it had not yet been confirmed where he would be going next, but he stated that it was Not be English club Bath, where current Munster coach Johann van Graan will soon be moving.

“I’m not staying, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet where I’m going. I’m not staying in Europe so I’m definitely not going to Bath, I haven’t spoken to anyone in Bath.

“I won’t be staying in Europe at the end of the season, which is unfortunate, but I’m looking forward to ending the season on a high note… I really want to leave Munster with great memories that I’ve already collected, but also some silverware. ”

BOKS’ BACKLINE BULLDOZER DE ALENDE (8th)

It seems that after a year in which he continued to build his reputation as a world-class artist, De Allende is finally getting the acclaim he deserves.

De Allende ended the year with one outstanding performance against Englandand capped another great season for the dynamic midfielder.

The 30-year-old started in 11 of the Boks’ 13 Tests last year and has consistently impressed as a strong ball carrier while rarely making a mistake in defence.

He also showed how he has evolved into a player who has a highly effective dumping game and has a consistent impact when collapsing.

“From a future perspective, Damian is your man to turn to. He’s amazing when he breaks down. He causes so much chaos when it comes to getting the ball, like Duane Vermeulen, Malcolm Marx and Kwagga Smith.” Former bok great Bryan Habana recently gushed when describing De Allende.

“As a rugby enthusiast, watch Damian’s work collapse. He’s constantly struggling, putting that extra yard in defense and offense and putting so much more pressure on defense and offense.

“His combination with Lukhanyo Am has been thriving for almost three and a half years which is brilliant to see. He’s one of the best passers. i love damian I think he’s the calmest, most relaxed guy and a brilliant guy.”
