2 ex-employees Mosel Bay Municipality In each of the Western Cape’s local magistrates’ courts, they were sentenced to three years in prison for burial-related fraud.

The Hawks said Megan Abdul and Frances Mazzolla received 23 convictions for a total of 140,000 fraud charges for crimes committed in 2016 and 2018.

Priority Crimes Investigation said Abdul and Mazzolla were involved in altering the condition of a burial site and diverting cash that the funeral director had purchased without being aware of the change.
