On December 23, 2021, the Japanese Ambassador to Zambia, Mizuuchi Ryuta, handed over a Japanese television program to ZNBC’s Secretary of State Maloreral Sambo in front of the prestigious Minister of Information and Media, Mr. Kasanda Chushi. As an honorary guest.

Since 2008, Japan has provided a variety of Japanese television programs, including dramas and educational programs, to major Zambian television stations through the cooperation of the Japan Foundation. This time, the following three programs have been handed over to ZNBC, bringing the total number of programs offered to Zambia to 51.

  • Journey to Jipan, the land of gold: Hiraizumi, Kanazawa, Sado

The Embassy of Japan in Zambia hopes that the TV program will be watched and enjoyed by as many Zambians as possible and will contribute to the deepening of Zambian people’s understanding of Japan. In addition, the provision of the program is expected to strengthen ZNBC’s capabilities and the overall role of the media in providing public entertainment and awareness.
