Eritrean citizens living in the port city of Mombasa, Kenya, announced at a public seminar hosted by the Eritrean embassy that they were ready to increase their participation in national affairs.

At the seminar, Kenyan Ambassador to Eritrea, Beinee Russom, gave an extensive explanation of the objective situation in her home country and the development of the region.

Ambassador Beien gave a broad account of the opportunities and challenges created by the peace and cooperation agreement signed between Eritrea and Ethiopia in 2018, and the instability witnessed in the region is a promising situation. Said that it was the formation of an external force that was not satisfied with.

Ambassador Bayen said the integrated resilience of the people in the region would stop external plots and prioritize peace and stability.

Ambassador Bayen also said that the unilateral and illegal sanctions imposed on Eritrea would be thwarted by the strong resistance and resilience of the Eritrean people at home and abroad.

Participants expressed their determination to strengthen their organizational capacity and participation in national affairs.
