“Doll’s previous support in infectious disease research, as well as our pediatric cancer program, has already saved many lives,” said Dr. Jeff Balser, President and CEO of VUMC and Dean of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in a press release. “This new gift will strengthen our defense against future threats to the security of this region and society as a whole. It demonstrates his passion for the people and we can not be more grateful.”
