department of The Interior Ministry said on Friday that the system would be offline nationwide, limiting its ability to serve the public.

In a statement, the department said its internal team and State IT Agency technicians are working tirelessly to address “unfortunate” incidents caused by broken cables on Sita systems.

“We are waiting for Sita to provide information on the estimated time for system restore,” the department said.

Due to network outages, services are limited to handwritten death certificates for passport collection and funerals. When the system comes back online, other services will resume. – © 2022 NewsCentral Media
