Eight people have been killed and others seriously injured in a road accident involving three vehicles in Phalaborwa in Limpopo.

The Limpopo Department of Transport says it is alleged that a bakkie carrying 13 people got stuck when a lorry crashed into it, which collided head-on with a minibus. ‘the other side after the accident happened on Seloane road on Friday night.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the death of two people in a collision between a quantum minibus and a truck on Addo Road near Motherwell and Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.

Police spokesperson Andre Beetge said that the quantum turned in yesterday’s incident. A 40-year-old woman and a 14-year-old man died at the scene.

It says that 12 people were injured by quantum including those driver he was transferred to different hospitals. The driver was not injured.
