Ezwatini Prime Minister Ambrosé Dramini Transfers to SA for Covid-19 Treatment

The last absolute monarchy in Africa, Prime Minister Eswatini, was taken to South Africa more than two weeks after being infected with Covid-19 and treated, the government said Tuesday.

The country’s 52-year-old premiere, Ambrose Dramini, announced on November 16 that he had tested positive, but he was feeling good and asymptomatic.

But on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Themba Mas Mass said Dramini was “stable” and “well responsive to treatment.”

“It was decided to be transferred to a South African hospital this afternoon to guide and expedite recovery,” Musk said in a statement.

Formerly known as Swaziland, the kingdom reports 6419 cases of coronavirus and 122 deaths in a population of 1.2 million.
