Ghana: ASASCO Group of the Year 1991 donates to Alma Mater

Asamankese – Asamankese High School (ASASCO) Age Group 1991 yesterday donated 120 mono desks worth GH₵12,500 to the Eastern Region School.

The donation, the first of its kind from the group, follows a call from the school administration to help promote teaching and learning.

The chairman of the alumni group, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) John Akrofi Ansah, who made the donation on behalf of its members, appealed to the government through the Ministry of Education to help the school to complete its abandoned projects that had been left for years, including the classroom. blocks and dormitories and infirmary.

DSP Ansah said the donation was to give back to the school after 30 years of completion to support the school’s management in promoting scholars.

He urged the school management to maintain the desks to give them a longer lifespan.

The President commended the teachers of the schools for their dedication to promoting education in the country.

DSP Ansah, who is also the Dansoman District Police Commander, urged the students to avoid bad company and focus on their books.

“As students, your books should be your priority at all times, avoid bad friends, follow school rules and regulations, and avoid trouble and drugs,” he added.

He assured them of the continued support of the group at the school to achieve its goals.

“As a group, we will continue to support the school to achieve the purpose for which it was established,” he added.

The school principal, Mr. Benjamin Okai Sakyi, who received the desks on behalf of the school, congratulated the group members for their kind gesture and assured that they would be used for the intended purpose.

Mr. Sakyi assured the band members that the desks would be maintained for future generations.

He called on businesses, philanthropists, especially the ASASCO alumni group to support them in its development program.
