Heidelberg brothers say father around – SABC News

The Ratanda community of Heidelberg in Gauteng supports the Khoabane family who lost three children to an abortion.

The community has been supporting the family, including financially, since the tragedy happened more than a week ago. On Saturday, they gathered at a local event venue for the three boys’ emotional funeral.

The brothers were asleep

Many people came to share the pain of the Khoabane family as they buried 16-year-old Lehlohonolo Khoabane, 13-year-old Katlego Khoabane and 6-year-old Teboho Ngcongwane.

Among them, members of the local soccer team were the ones who ran away from the asong, often singing before the football game to inspire victory against their opponent. But this time, Super Touches FC is sending brothers, friends and team – Tlapopo and Ekstein – as they lovingly play Katlego and Teboho.

Sports coach Lindiwe Nkambule said the boys’ deaths were devastating.

“If a parent is distressed, they need to realize that it is not just a matter of his or her family. But the pain comes at a time when other children are in the city, ”Nkambule said.

Lesufi criticizes easy access to toxins

The MEC of Education in Gauteng, Panyaza Lesufi, said the community should stand up for easy access to the highly popular toxins known as le phirimi. That is because in Ivory Park, a town not far from Heidelberg, three other children this week also died from food poisoning from the same chemical. Lesufi says the pain of losing youth runs deep…

Lesufi says, “Look, we are going again instead of calling them well because they are going to high school, we are sending them because they are dead.”

The father of the deceased boys, Johannes Khoabane, said the family had a trap that would take time to leave. In her emotional outburst, she wanted to know what could motivate her son-in-law to commit such a heinous act.

“We do not know what motivated him to do what we did because we love him so much,” the boys’ grandfather says.

‘Men should speak’

The local taxi company also supported the bereaved family. Tshepo Mlaba of the group said the children had died at the hands of men and it was time for the men to gather in what he called we should address the congregation.

“I think men should come out of the dark side where they feel powerless and share their problems. It will help them realize that their problems are not worse than what someone else is facing,” he said. as Mlaba cries.

It is alleged that the father gave his five sons alcohol that contained poison. One child refuses to eat it while another fights for his life in the hospital. The father was under police guard at the hospital when he attempted suicide.
