If you can not measure it, you can not control it. In person too

And if you missed last week’s most popular posts….

You have probably heard the joke that says: 15 years old it was clear that my father knew absolutely nothing. After I turned 30, I was amazed at how much he had learned. Now that I’m 50, I wish I had listened to him more… ..

It’s similar when we discover that an old timer like Warren Buffett’s told us things like best to lower the friction cost of life. I’ve been given practical training on how this works since I got a device that can be used for Christmas, a Garmin that monitors and measures my stress, exercise, sleep and “body battery”.

Now it’s so obvious how my body works in a predictable cycle. Eat wisely, relax before bed and the sleep level will be high, increase the battery in my body and put me in positions for a quiet and rewarding day. The opposite? Better to just be in bed.

We know it in business if you can not measure something, you can not control it. Thanks to wearables, it is now the same for our individuals. And after tackling that unnecessary friction, I’ll be wondering why you did not do it many years ago.
