Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) police have been found guilty of attempted murder and three attempted murders.

Bongani Silence Baloyi was convicted in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Monday.

Courts heard that Valois killed a man in what appeared to be the Road Rage case.

On October 3, 2019, at the intersection of South Africa Drive and Central African Republic Street, Valloy made a U-turn while driving VW Golf. His actions almost caused a clash with Nissan moving towards Honeydew driven by Seja Lawrence Nkwana.

Three passengers were in the car with Nkwana.

“Both drivers exchanged words and the accused fired at [Nkwana]”IPID spokesman Ndileka Cola said in a statement.

“The accused reported himself to a police officer he found along the way when he left the scene, who confiscated his gun and later he was arrested.”

Postmortem reports indicate that Nkwana died as a result of gunshot wounds in the head, chest, and abdomen.

Valois will appear in court on June 2, 2021 for a decision.
