Bafana Bafana head coach hugo bros has selected a 23-man squad for the forthcoming international friendlies against Guinea and France at the end of the month.

Last week, the Belgian mentor named a 29-man provisional squad.

He has now dropped seven players namely Brandon Peterson (Kaizer Chiefs), Sbonelo Cele (Golden Arrows), Veluyeke Zulu (Chippa United), Rivaldo Coetzee, Victor Letsoalo (Royal AM), Pule Mmodi (Golden Arrows), Mduduzi Mdantsane ( CT city).

Meanwhile, the 69-year-old has retained the Sundowns defender Lyle Lakey in the squad following calls from fans to give the left-back a chance in the national colors.

Khuliso Mudauwho has shown fantastic performances for Masandawana also made it to the final.

Broos made an interesting decision when he added Sundown’s midfield ace Mothobi Mvala, who didn’t originally make the provisional squad. He will now fly to Belgium and France with the squad.

Orlando Pirates midfielder Goodman Mosele is also back in the squad after failing to call up for the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia last year.

Percy Tau and Fagrie Lakay, who both work in Egypt for Al Ahly and Pyramids FC respectively, are also selected.

The men’s national team meets Guinea instead of Zambia in Belgium on Friday 25 March (kick-off at 19:00 SE time).

Four days later, on Tuesday 29 March (10pm SE time), Bafana Bafana meets world champions France in Lille.
