Leone Stars Say Goodbye to Sierra Leone President Julius Maadabio and First Lady Fatima Bio

The Sierra Leone national football team, Leone Stars, called on the State Capitol to say goodbye to President Julius Maadabio and Fatima Bio First Lady prior to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations AfCON in Cameroon.

The team’s deputy captain, Mohamed Camara, thanked the President and the people of Sierra Leone for their support and opportunities to play for the country at a major international men’s soccer tournament in Africa, playing as a team. I’m proud of the country.

Head coach John Keester added that the process that led to the election of the 28-member team was busy and rewarding, and he was confident that the team would be the best place to represent the country at the AfCON competition. I did. He thanked the government for its unprecedented support in promoting and developing football and other sports areas in the country.

Team manager Baba Di Kamala said the greatest honor of all players is to play for their country, saying that the people of Sierra Leone have been supporting them all the time. Therefore, he advised them to win and be proud of the country.

In a brief message of good luck, First Lady Fatima Bio said she was happy because greatness came to the country through football. She added that the success behind all football teams is the result of hard work and dedication. Therefore, Madame First Lady urged the team to smile on Sierra Leone’s face.

“When you go out, the country is watching. The whole world is watching. So take this opportunity to play for the country and for your future,” she said. Said.

In a brief farewell statement, His Excellency Julius Mada Bio said he was pleased to say goodbye to the national team in a special way, adding that the country had been in the wilderness for 25 years. Therefore, he said he should go to Cameroon with the sole purpose of winning the trophy.

“Enter the field and be proud of Sierra Leone’s success. We have begun to feel our presence on the global stage. Keep going that way,” he concludes. ..
