Limpopo Health Department says it will set up a vaccination area outside Thohoyandou Stadium on Friday night, where football fans are expected to return to the stadium after a two-year absence.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC host SuperSport United FC in Nedbank’s quarter-finals on Friday night.

Half of the pitch – as long as fans are vaccinated – will be allowed inside.

Limpopo Health Minister Phophi Ramathuba says they are committed to helping various sporting rules to ensure that fans are vaccinated outdoors.

“We will set up our vaccination area just outside the stadium. So if you are not vaccinated, you can come to the stadium, we will vaccinate you and give you a manual certificate, you will use it to enter the stadium. “

“But what we are not going to do is submit new tests. We will support all departments [and] all the games that will be played by ensuring that we are there to vaccinate those who need vaccination, “explains Dr Ramathuba.
