Mitchells Plain’s Farm’s 694 Beneficiaries Move Into New Homes Soon – SABC News

The Western Cape government says 110 beneficiaries of Farm 694 Housing Development in Mitchells Plain are expected to move into their new homes in two months.

The multimillion-dollar project began in 2019.

Tertuis Simmers, the Minister for Housing, says half of the beneficiaries come from the New Woodlands region and the other half come from Greater Kosovo.

“It is gratifying to note that construction continues to make great progress. I look forward to the day when we will welcome newcomers from New Woodlands and the informal settlements in Greater Kosovo into their homes, where they will form a new integrated community.

“I would also like to express my gratitude to both project management committees for their continued and unwavering support, as they ensure that those who are trying to disrupt the progress that is being made in this project will not have a platform to do so,” explains Simmers.
