Finalists included beauty content creator – Hlengiwe Ntshangase, fashion design graduate and owner of Dress Me Too – Tshegofatso Sepotokele, visual artist – Munei Nevhutanda, Sauce Flo homemade chilli sauce maker – Florah Nene, Sibusiso Sibanyoni musician , visual artist and photographer – Melusi Nene, Andani Mukwevho’s Forever Footwear inspired by West Yeezy’s Kanye ‘Ye’ collection and talented fashion designer – Ivan Plaatjies.

After much deliberation, Sauce Flo founder Nene was announced as the winner, taking home R80 000. Nene said that her biggest dream was to see her hot sauce on the shelves in the Food Lovers Market.

Mohale said The Citizen it supports such initiatives as they target young entrepreneurs because of the effect of youth unemployment. “Getting funding is not easy and with the Spark Your Hustle competition at Tecno, we will be in a hurry to come up with new ideas.”
