Northwest branch of Dudula aims to stop illegal mining – SABC News

Operation Dudula says it wants to eradicate illegal mining in the Northwest. The movement, which launched its first branch in the province of Rustenburg, claims to be focusing on illegal activities in and around the Rustenburg Platinum Belt in the province.

Masses of supporters of Operation Dudula gathered at the Olympic Stadium.

Supporters of the Northwest and Gauteng provinces were supported by the national structures and founder of Operation Dudula. Nhlanhla “Lux” Dlamini.

Rustenburg is the first region in the province to launch a branch. Dlamini said the movement will focus on illegal mining activities.

Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini, youth leader of Operation Dudula. “No stone is left unturned, a mining society is already saying that the problem of illegal mining in this country is right. Our economy is centered around a few things: agriculture and mining are the pinnacle of our economy. When a pillar of our economy is taken away by illegal foreigners, and that says it’s not here, it’s actually on the way because it’s a mining economy. So if we come into force today, we can save our country’s economy tomorrow. So we go into every company and we will. ”

According to the regional organizer, Rolex Mabula, the aim of this movement is to address a number of obvious social problems in the area.

Rolex Dlamini, regional organizer of Operation Dudula in Rustenburg, says: “We have a prostitution problem in our country, I think you understand that prostitution is currently a crime in this country. We have a problem with human trafficking in this country, we have a problem with illegal immigrants selling alcohol in spaza shops. There are so many, the list is endless. ”

Members of the community have mixed views about Operation Dudula

A member of the community says, “I’m not well because most foreigners came here in different ways. I understand that there are those who need to be attacked by the operation because there are those who are doing illegal things. Another member of the community says, “I want Nigerians to leave because they’re going to kill us with drugs.”

Meanwhile, Operation Dudula has expanded its operations to the taxi station in Rustenburg to draw attention to their movements.
