newly elected ANC Youth League Northern Cape’s president said their priority is to rebuild the league.

Venus Blenies was elected without objection to the 9th Local Council of the Youth League this weekend.

Blenies says they’ve been campaigning for at least eight years to rebuild ANCYL.

“The need for ANCYL to occupy space and young people to be represented in that position is because only young people can liberate themselves.”

As the only woman in the top five, Blenies has been tasked with leading ANC’s youth group in the province, which has hosted the first successful youth league competitions in recent years.
