Police are hunting down gunmen who have killed three men in the southern delta of Cape Town

Police launched a chase after gunmen who shot three people dead in an informal settlement in Jerusalem, Delft South, Cape Town.

The incident happened on Sunday night.

Police spokesman Brigadier General Novela Potelwa said police had been called to the scene, who had found the three bodies. The three victims, who were all men, were rescued at the scene by ambulances.

“It is claimed that unidentified gunmen opened fire on the three victims around Sunday at around 8pm and fled. The motive for the shooting has not yet been determined,” Potelwa said.

Police are asking whoever has the information to report it.

There have been a number of mass shootings in Cape Town in recent weeks, including in Khayelitsha, Endlovini and Manenberg.
