Police Minister Cele is determined to make Jabulani in Soweto a safe zone

JOHANNESBURG — Police Minister Bheki Cele has said he is determined to make Jabulani in Soweto a safe area amid high crime complaints from residents.

Cele will visit the Jabulani hostel on Friday as part of a ministerial Crime Prevention Imbizo.

He will be joined by National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola.

Jabulani has seen an increase in the number of murders, robberies and robberies.

Cele said that by joining the residents, security can be restored.

“The police industry and SAPS leadership are committed to changing the image of crime in the region through increased policing and forging lasting police partnerships with resident-organized community structures and all relevant stakeholders. “said Cele’s spokesperson, Lirandzu Themba.
