President Rama Poza attends SADC extraordinary summit in Malawi

President Cyril Ramaphosa will attend two summits of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) in Malawi on Tuesday and Wednesday as President of South Africa and chair of the SADC Organization on Political, Defense and Security Cooperation. January 11th and 12th, 2022.

President Rama Poza will attend the extraordinary summit of SADC Heads of State and Government Leaders on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, President Lamaposa will convene the Extraordinary SADC Organ Troika Summit, as well as HR contributors and the Republic of Mozambique, to chair the SADC Organ on political, defense and security cooperation.

The SADC Troika Summit will review the progress of the Mozambique SADC Mission (SAMIM) deployed by SADC to assist Mozambique in combating terrorism and violent extremism.

SADC’s personnel contributors are Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, South Africa, the United Republic of Tanzania and Zambia.
