Power outage, Eskom said the second phase will end at 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The power plant implemented a short drive shortly after 6pm on Monday evening after 5 minutes of the Medupi Power Station.

Eskom spokeswoman Sikonathi Mantshantsha says bad weather has also increased demand for electricity.

“Eskom would like to inform the public that this intimate situation will persist within the week, being able to add more weight if the power of the generation deteriorates. Today a production department and Kriel Power Station, as well as the two production departments at Camden Power Station suffered a setback.

Mantshantsha added: “Two generations of victims of Matla fire have returned to work this evening. However, these will take time to reach full generation production. We currently have 4 804MW in the planned configuration, while another 14 759MW capacity is not due to unplanned damage. We provide state-of-the-art storage technology to seal the level of shipping. The water level at the port will be filled tonight with a dump and save the pump for preparation for tomorrow. “
