Quinana disagrees with attending a meeting aimed at signing an illegal SAA policy-SABC News

Former South African Airways Technical (SAAT) Chairman Yakhe Kwinana refused to attend a meeting that attempted to force two senior executives to sign an illegal policy against South African Airways’ black companies. (SAA).

Kwinana has submitted evidence to the National Capture Investigation Commission.

The 30% reserve policy was directed by the contractor to those with BEE partners.

This policy was resisted by the Treasury and the Ministry of Trade and Industry because it was illegal and inconsistent in procurement policy and law.
