Regé-Jean Page said after being alleged to have missed the role of Superman’s grandfather in the “Krypton” series because of his race.
The “Bridgerton” star reportedly auditioned for some of Superman’s grandfather in Syfy’s “Krypton” series, but DC Films co-founder Geoff Johns made the character black. He is said to have passed the role because he said he couldn’t. The Hollywood Reporter claimed in a recent article.
And now it seems to be responding to that claim, but Regé-Jean admits it is “more painful” than it used to be.
He wrote on Twitter: “Listening to these conversations is as painful as it was then. The explanations are almost more painful … but still just doing me … but we are still working … we Is still flying. (Sic) “
Listening to these conversations is as painful as it was then. Clarification almost hurt tbh.
I’m still doing me.
Still we do the job.
We are still flying.

However, Johns’ team denied the claim, claiming that this was not the case and that the casting process was “twisted to be something else.”
They added in a statement: “He has never reached the stage of being sent to the studio by the producer and has never officially tested WBTV.
“This role is for Superman’s grandfather, who appeared after the Justice League movie, and the role is supposed to reflect Henry Cavill and his father, played by Russell Crowe in the movie. It was decided.
The actors cast that way should have resembled either actor.
“This is twisted into something that isn’t, and someone is throwing a name there to get a headline.”
Meanwhile, Regis Jean had previously confessed to “flattering” speculation that he could be the next James Bond after being told by Daniel Craig to take over as 007.
In response to rumors, he said. “Oh, B’s word. If you’re British and you notice that others are aware, I think people will start talking about it. It’s pretty normal and I’m happy. The UK people noticed It falls into the category of people. “
