Retired Durban guy becomes millionaire after R100 lottery bet

Retired people won the lottery.

The Durban man became a millionaire after taking R35.1 million home from his R100 stake.

The Chatsworth guy is second in KwaZulu-Natal to become a millionaire in less than two weeks after winning the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot following Wednesday’s draw.

The pensioner is a recently retired salesman who is said to be a devoted family man who has just begun to enjoy time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

“This is really unexpected. I’m really surprised,” said a 69-year-old man.

“It’s December, so it’s just the right time to start all the festivals.

“As I just knew, I need time to sink this. I don’t have a major immediate plan for my prize.”
