The National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NICD) has reported 6,372 new COVID-19 cases detected in South Africa, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the laboratory to 3,776,298.
This increase represents a 21.1% positive. Today, the NDoH reports three deaths that occurred in the past 24-48 hours.
This brings the total number of accidents to 100,351 to date.

About 24,400,471 exams have been taken in both the public and private sectors.
The NICD, a division of the National Health Laboratory Service, continues to provide laboratory-based monitoring to inform the public health response to COVID-19 in South Africa.
