The Ministry of Health has recorded 998 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections over the last 24 hours to 150 5586.

In a statement, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said that most of the new deaths were recorded in KwaZulu Natal.

The cumulative total of tests performed so far is 8932950.
