The South African Civil Aviation Administration (SACAA) says it is still gathering preliminary information in connection with an incident in which a British Airways plane en route from Gqeberha to Cape Town made a difficult landing.
An investigation into the incident could be launched, based on the information gathered.
The incident was announced on Saturday. There were no injuries or fatalities.
British Airways resumed its flight schedule on Thursday after SACCA suspended the flight.
SACAA suspended Comair’s aircraft indefinitely last week on Sundaywith reference to the fact that the airline had not adequately addressed safety issues in an operation that also affected the passengers of the low-cost airline Kulula and British Airways.
Flights will resume after the Civil Aviation Administration has lifted the revocation of Comair’s operating license
