Siya Kolisi is the light of hope and pride in South Africa.

In 2018, the 29-year-old black man became the first black man to captain Springboks. And he led the team to England in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.

Since then, the two fathers have been at the pinnacle of success and have added commercials to his portfolio. And he and his wife Rachel have also become media darlings.

In February of this year he joined the shark. And he made a list of the 100 most influential Africans in Forbes Africa 2021.

On Tuesday, he used his social media account to publish his autobiography, Rise, which will be released in September.

In his post, he writes: story. “

He added: “I believe in lifting as you stand up and donate a portion of the proceeds to community development across the country.

“Thank you for all your support and God’s blessing.”

“Rise” goes beyond the chronological overview of games played, won and lost.

It delved into his humble beginnings and grew up in a poor Zwide township.

Apart from tackling his growth and achievements over the years, he also delves into sticking to positive thinking against race, faith and probability.

This intimate memoir is a testament to his legacy of hope and inspiration.

Interestingly, the title is inspired by his mother, Pakama, and also celebrates his Xhosa heritage.

Kolisi added: “You can pre-order now. My biography link. If you are based in the UK, you can also order a signed copy only from Waterstones.com.

“A signed copy of South Africa will be announced shortly. Please be careful!”

The memoirs will be retailed on R295.

Meanwhile, fans used social media to congratulate the rugby captain.

@mwamwabear tweeted: “Big fan! Please let me know when you’re in Pta again. I must have signed a copy. Do you ever buy a cup of coffee … 😉🐻”

“@SiyaKolisi_Bear Do you think there is a French translation of your biography? Folded hands,” added @gabaofloyd.

@SimonBorchardt states: “I’m happy to see it published after the Lions series.”
