Several rugby fans had expressed outrage on Tuesday when they encountered technical difficulties while trying to buy tickets for the blockbuster.

Rugby supporters also clung to hope that government would relax Covid regulations Allowing 100% audience participation instead of the current 50% for the big game.

However, confirmation of such rule changes had not yet been received by the time the Stormers officially declared the venue a sell-out.
