Thabo Masebe will be buried on Saturday

JOHANNESBURG — Friends and family will bid farewell to veteran broadcaster Thabo Masebe on Saturday.

Masebe is remembered as a meticulous civil servant with a wealth of knowledge.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that the national flag will fly at half mast in Gauteng as a mark of respect for the late acting chief executive.

Masebe died earlier this week at the age of 57.

Social media was flooded with messages of condolence from journalists and media personalities who praised him for his hard work.

The media liaison officer in the office of Vice President Matshepo Seedat said COVID-19 protocols would be adhered to.
