The Direct Marketing Association of South Africa’s (DMASA) Assegai Integrated Marketing Awards continues its efforts to attract a wider audience with the news that nominations for the awards can now be submitted based on industry sectors.
For 2022, these will include automotive; commercial products and services; consumer products; food and drink; health; non-profit; publishing, media, entertainment and sports; detail; travel and hospitality; technology and communication, and public services.
“We are expanding the base of companies that can submit entries this year after investing a lot of energy in internationalizing the Assegai Awards over the past year,” said David Dickens, CEO of DMASA.
Not only are there more international judges in attendance at this year’s Assegai Awards – scheduled for November – winners of the Gold Assegai Award category can also choose to have their submissions considered for a Global Echo Award. The latter follows the newly forged relationship between the Florida-headquartered National Advertising Association of America (ANA) and DMASA, which sees Assegai’s entry requirements for 2022 aligned to a format of Echo-style.
Now, the alignment of submissions with the industry sector means that many more companies engaged in integrated and direct marketing (IDM) become eligible to submit Assegai applications.
The Assegai Awards annually showcase leaders in the direct marketing industry who have done exceptional work in the previous year. Outstanding results of the campaign will be showcased and rewarded at the next awards night.
Entries are open for the 2022 installment of the Direct Marketing Association of South Africa (DMASA) Assegai Integrated Marketing Awards in June, giving local marketers – now in many other sectors – plenty of time to consider their proposed candidates.
