The body of a 14-year-old northwestern teenager found in Vryburg cemetery – SABC News

The body of a 14-year-old high school student from Vryburg was found in a cemetery in Huhudu, Vryburg, northwest. The body of Sedika Lekhobo was found on Sunday.

The Northwestern Department of Education expressed its condolences to the family of the 9th grade student.

Elias Malindi, a spokesman for the ministry, said: “The North West Ministry of Education was destroyed by the death of a high school student in Vryburg, whose body was found near Dr Vuthburg Cemetery in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati. The Gender-based violence (GBV) is very common within our communities. ”

The Vryburg Northwest Police opened an investigation report.

Captain Aafje Botma, a police spokesman, said the death report would reveal whether the case could be turned into murder or not.

“We are waiting for the post-mortem at this stage, so an investigation has been launched. We are waiting for the result of the post mortem. Post mortem can still be done today [Tuesday] or tomorrow [Wednesday] and all this can vary depending on the outcome of the post-mortem, ”says Botma.

Meanwhile, the body of a 55-year-old security guard was found over the weekend at a Palmview school in Phoenix, Durban.

It is believed that he was strapped with a belt and had multiple injuries to his chest and head.

Glen Naidoo of KZN VIP Security says: “They found out the school had been broken into and many items had been stolen. Since the guard was not found, a thorough search was conducted. Preliminary examination, then a thorough examination again, and finally the security guard was found, who was lying in the toilet with blood, and we suspected stabbed wounds. We fenced off, called SAPS, and handed them the crime scene, ”says Naidoo.
