The lawsuit of former President Zuma has been postponed until August 1 – SABC News

Zuma’s appeal to the President of the Supreme Court of Appeal is still pending.
He wants a higher court, including the Constitutional Court if necessary, to hear an appeal against the rejection of Judge Piet Koen’s special plea. The plea seeks the dismissal of Chief Prosecutor Billy Downer for alleged bias.
Tuesday’s court proceedings:
The Supreme Court has ruled that if the appeal proceedings are closed by August 1, the trial will begin on August 15.
Jacob Zuma Foundation spokesman Mzwanele Manyi says: “I think it’s very important for SA to always be on the lookout for caution, which doesn’t just mean we lose, we lose, we lose. Part of the assumption is what happens when we win, we win, we win? So we don’t know what’s really going to happen. Should this matter focus on who are the real beneficiaries of these billions? This is not Zuma. So we are really looking forward to this day. ”
