The Secretary-General strongly condemns the ongoing looting and attacks on UN facilities, equipment and supplies donated to Sudanese authorities for civilian use in Al Fashir, Darfur.

On the evening of December 28, 2021, the World Food Program (WFP) facility was also attacked. Over 1,900 metric tons of groceries were looted for the purpose of feeding 730,000 vulnerable people a month.

The Secretary-General regrets losing the aid and other equipment and supplies intended for the benefit of the Darfur community.
