Cape Town – Police in Cape Town have their arms full as a third person has been found dead in their home after an alleged home invasion.
In the latest incident, police are looking for suspects who allegedly murdered a 68-year-old woman in her home on Tuesday.
Provincial Police spokesman Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi said the Garden Street incident in Elsies River is under investigation.
He said that upon arrival at the scene, police found the body of an unknown woman inside the house.
Swartbooi said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by medical staff.
It is not known at this point how she was killed.
According to Swartbooi, the suspect (s) have fled the scene and have not yet been arrested.

This murder follows the murder of two young men on Thursday September 9 in Mawisa Street in Lingelethu.
Three suspects allegedly stormed the house and fired several shots.
An 18-year-old Rhodes high school student died at the scene, while a 21-year-old man believed to be his relative was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital.
Lingelethu police are investigating two murder cases.
Swartbooi said the incident happened around 8 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found an 18-year-old man who had been shot and wounded.
Swartbooi said he was pronounced dead at the scene by medical staff.
“A 21-year-old man who suffered injuries was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
“Three unknown armed suspects fled the scene with valuables and have not yet been arrested,” he said.
Swartbooi urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stop.
Western Cape Department of Education (WCED) spokesperson Bronagh Hammond said the department was aware of the tragic loss of a grade 12 student.
“Our deepest condolences to family, friends and the school community. WCED provided psychological support at the school, ”she added.
