Trial against Senzo Meyiwa begins again on Monday morning – SABC News

Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial will resume in the Pretoria Supreme Court on Monday morning. Procedure had to be stopped early on Friday after State Witness, Sergeant Thabo Mosia, fell ill.

The state explained that Mosia had taken drugs that affected him. He has been interrogated for the past two weeks.

Mosia is a forensic doctor and was one of the first to come to the scene the night the football star died.

The judge, Tshifiwa Maumela, told the court that if his condition had not changed before Monday morning, another witness would be called to testify.

Five men are charged with the murder of Bafana Bafana goalkeeper who was shot dead when he visited the home of his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother in Voslours in 2014. The men have denied guilt.
