Veteran Freedom Fighter Romodern Mohammed-Noor died

Veteran freedom fighter, pioneer of the Eritrean liberation struggle and one of the prominent leaders, Romanoid Mohammed Null, died of illness at the age of 83.

The veteran fighter Roman was joined the Eritrean Liberation Front (ELF) in 1964 and was the fourth minister in the early days of the liberation struggle. Mr. Romodern was one of the founders of the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF).

The veteran fighter Roman was elected Secretary of the EPLF in the first parliament.

After independence, Mr. Romodern served his country and people as governor and minister of justice of the North Red Sea region.

Veteran Freedom Fighter Romanoid Mohammed Null has survived by his six children.

Expressing deep sorrow for the death of veteran fighter Roman Mohammed Null, the Eritrean government and PFDJ condolences to the people, family and friends of Eritrea.

The funeral of veteran fighter Romanoid Mohammed Null is announced.
