The city of Walter Sisulu, in the Eastern Cape, has invested R3 million to improve the roads of Mzomhle and Burgersdorp.
Mayor Vania Davids says the rehabilitation of traffic infrastructure is to respond to the social and economic needs of the residents.
Davids said the road rehabilitation program will provide job opportunities to unemployed youth in the workplace.
Davids said: “There will be job opportunities for the community.
Davids said they are aware of the high unemployment rate in the area.
Davids said: “We have civil servants under the authority of Walter Sisulu doing the work so that they can make a claim.”
