Zondo to hand over fifth state arrest report to President Ramaphosa on Monday – SABC News

The National Bureau of Investigation said the extradition ceremony The fifth and final minutes of the state arrest commission to President Cyril Ramaphosa will take place on Monday evening at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

The commissioner said in a statement that he was unable to provide the report last Wednesday due to some problems.

The final minutes of this report are expected to include the findings of an investigation into SABC, the State Security Agency, South Africa’s Passenger Rail and Estina dairy rumors, among others.

The commissioner has been investigating the state arrest allegations since 2018. He was originally given a six-month stay but asked for an extension as he tries to get more witnesses to provide evidence. Following another extension of the Pretoria Supreme Court, it is expected to hand over to the president the final part of its report last Wednesday. The chairman of the commission, Judge Raymond Zondo said every big deal.

Zondo explained, “It has been a remarkable four years since the commission was set up and three years of that time have been to hear evidence from the committee,” Zondo explained.

Earlier, President Ramaphosa promised that after receiving the report he would hand the report over to the legislature for further consideration.

“As per the decision of the Supreme Court of Gauteng required on the 28th of December 2021 and in accordance with the amendment to the public safety report of October 2016, I will submit the full report to parliament by of June 2022, it may be earlier, but certainly by the 30th of June 2022. “

The president also said he would make sure his administration complied with the commissioners’ recommendations.

“I will also set out my intentions for implementing the committee’s recommendations. “As I showed in court, it is only after the last minute has been received that it is possible to see in detail what the report means and to develop a plan for the implementation of these plans.”

But he has already asked for patience.

“The government will not make a statement on the findings or recommendations of the Commission before considering all aspects of this report,” Ramaphosa added.

The commissioner has been involved in several business dealings with government officials, state officials and politicians in capturing the state. He also backed criminal allegations against members of the Gupta family and the investigations to be carried out against certain ministers, including the Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Gwede Mantashe and the removal of Zizi Kodwa and the Deputy Chief of Security. However, some of these messengers have promised to take the report for granted.
